Cut in Front of Your Competition using Cermet Saw Tipped Saws
The Circular Sawing Systems such as the Spartan P-Series machines, Tsune and Nishijima Machines for cutting steel using thin kerf disposable saw blades, were originally designed to use carbide tipped saw blades just like their predecessors such as Oliver, B&O, Metalsaw, Ohler, CCI, etc.
Of late, however, the trend is toward using Cermet Tipped Saw blades in order to achieve higher cutting rates, longer tool life, and better cut quality as compared to the conventional carbide tipped blades.
Although cermets are manufactured through the same basic process as carbide, they are composed of titanium nitrides (TiN) and titanium carbides (TiC). Cermet (TiCN) is considered to be a Hybrid middle ground between conventional carbide and pure ceramic. Why not use a TiN coated carbide? The answer is simple, a TiN coated blade is just that… a coating that will wear off the tool interface with use. On the other hand, the cermet tip is not a coating but rather it is a solid coating material.
High cutting speed, greater wear resistance, and better quality cuts FOR THE SAME PRICE AS A CARBIDE TIPPED SAW BLADE!
